Rain, rain go away.

May 29, 2013

On such a dreary “Summer” day Deborah and I really needed something to cheer us up.  During a cup of tea and a fig roll we realised we’ve got lots to look forward to in the next few weeks.  On Saturday 15th June we have our Colour Inspiration workshop.  In addition to a day of making up mood boards, talking and experimenting with colour and how it relates to knitting we have the lovely Lorna Wiltshire, colour and style consultant coming along.  So not only do you get the day with us, you get a colour and style consultation and all for £50 including a scrummy lunch.

The second workshop to look forward to is when Suzie Johnson comes to visit on Saturday 29th June.  Following the success of her book, Janet Smith Can’t Knit and teaching Kirsty Alsop to knit, Suzie travels around the country running workshops in her fun and modern style.  When she comes to Manfield Crafts we’ll be knitting our own avatars using lots of techniques and colour.  To book a place on either of these day then just email or call and we’ll sort it out.x

For all you Purl fans you may have noticed that she has been a bit low profile recently.  The reason being is a new addition to Manfield Crafts.  This is Pixie who has come to live with us after being abandoned locally.  As you can see she needs a jolly good fattening up but that hasn’t stopped her settling in a treat.  As soon as we can “wool train” her she’ll be chilling out in the shop too. x

Pixie is so cute! Who could abandon such a cutie? I look forward to meeting her. x
