As most of you have heard by now, we have formalised our workshop schedule for 2011. In case you missed the trumpeteer’s salute on the subject, visit the website for details. This year will see the return of old favourites Sarah Hazell, Debbie Abrahams, Erica Pask and Emma King, treating us to an array of insider tips and tricks to give our projects that professional touch or to tempt us into new skills.
But while the majority of those hosting workshops this year have become friends of Manfield Crafts, there are a couple making their debut. The first is, of course, Jane Crowfoot. Jane’s Crochet Club has attracted several members from Manfield Crafts’ own knitting groups, and it is hoped she will see many of them at her two workshops in June and July. For those of you not busy stroking her mystery blanket yarns, come along anyway and improve your crochet techniques.
The second newcomer to Manfield Crafts is Emily Holmes, although some may have met her at one of her workshops in John Lewis, Milton Keynes. In October, Emily will be instructing us in the creation of beautiful snoods to warm the neck during autumn and winter.
In addition to our structured workshops is a new initiative to hone your knitting and crochet skills. These are the one-to-one tutorials, under the gentle care of Emma and Laurie-an. Take a look at the list on the tutorials page, book a slot for yourself, and enjoy a cosy session of ‘filling in the gaps’.
