Knitting Groups
Members’ Page
Manfield Crafts hosts several knitting groups every week, plus one once a month. No written membership is required nor are you obliged to attend every week. Just pick the time that suits you and come along whenever you feel like some company and a cup of tea, help with your technique, or for some inspiration from the latest in knitting news.
Members are also welcome to bring along their unfinished objects (UFOs) on scheduled UFO days or join us on one of our purely social events. Notices will be made available to group members both at Manfield Crafts and here, on the members’ page.
Knitting Groups:
- Friday 10am to 12pm
- Saturday 2pm to 5.30pm
Knot Just Knitting:
- First Wednesday of the month 7pm to 9pm
To join, just bring along your knitting project and a charge of £2, which includes all refreshments.
Knitting Group News!
1 Nov 2011: Accept it or not, it is time to start juggling your Christmas diaries. Choosing the Griffin as our drinking and eating parlour for the night, Manfield Crafts will be celebrating the festivities 15th December. To reserve your place, please pop into the shop with £5 deposit.
8 Sep 2011: We are having another UFO Day on 13th September for those of you — Laurie-an, especially – who have numerous unfinished objects that need just one day of attention to complete.
1 Sep 2011: Ladies! Thank you for the wonderful bunting. I am touched that so many of you spent time and effort into making such lovely squares and triangles, and each time I look up at it lining the walls of the shop, my heart swells knowing I have such friends. Again, thank you.
5 May 2011: There will be a UFO day on Thursday, 12 May. There is space for just 10 people, so book your seat early! Cost is £5, which includes your refreshments throughout the day, plus your contribution to the picnic lunch. Update 10 May: All spaces taken.
3 May 2011: As you are all no doubt aware, Emma and Laurie-an are taking Manfield Crafts to Fibre East, 23 to 24 July. If enough are interested, there are plans to hire a minibus for the use of members’ who wish to go too. Leave your name and preferred day — Saturday or Sunday — at Manfield Crafts.
3 May 2011: We will once again be organising a trip to the Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace. All those wishing to attend should leave their details and a deposit of £20 at Manfield Crafts.
